Speaker 2:

Hello, i am David and welcome back to another Mojo Minute For the second time this week. Let's jump straight into today's quote. Mr Big, it's the start that stops most people. An object, in this case you in motion, stays in motion. It's breaking inertia. That is the hardest part. Did you know that a space shuttle uses about 80% of its fuel in the first hour of its journey? Once you get momentum on your side, success comes your way. You create a rhythm and a routine and start opening or start operating your habits and routines more intentionally, instead of blindly going through the motions. I like to call it growing through the motions versus going through the motions. Many asserted the best place to start is always with your 1% better intention. Your 1% better intention is flexible and flowing. It can adapt over time, but it must always be written down. It must always be in action, preferably as part of your AM or PM routine, because that's where you have most of the control over your day. Ah, this book is so good And again we're taking these quotes from 1% better, the latest title from Brian Kane, and it's quickly becoming a favorite book of mine. But how about that? The best place to start is always with your 1% better intention, because your 1% better intention is flexible and flowing and it can adapt over time. And here's what I really love It must always be written down and it must always be in action, preferably as part of your AM or PM routine, because that is where you have most of the control over your day. And that's so true, absolutely true. When you are stuck, go back to your fundamentals, the fundamentals of flourishing. Go back to your 1% better intention And then then write it down. So many people want to keep it in the head. Write it down, then execute on it, whether it's in your AM or PM routines, because, yes, that is exactly where you have most of the control over your day. Your day will be crazy during the regular parts of the day, but you have control in the early hours, in the morning hours and in the late night hours, and that is where the victory lies. So that is our one nugget of wisdom. And then our second and bigger nugget of wisdom is that it's the start that stops. Most people Think about that In the beginning, everything is always the hardest. Now Brian references the space shuttle which was brought up in our Compound Effect Academy Review, and actually here's that quote, the space shuttle uses more fuel during the first few minutes of its flight than it does the rest of the entire trip. Why? Because it has to break free from the pull of gravity. Once it does, it can glide into orbit. The hard part Getting off the ground, your old ways and your old conditioning are just like the inertia of the merry-go-round or the pull of gravity Everything just wants to stay at rest. You will need a lot of energy to break your inertia and get your new enterprise underway, but once you get momentum you will be hard to stop, virtually unbeatable, even though you're now putting in considerably less effort by receiving greater results. Boy, that is so good, super, super good. Darren Hardy's book is fantastic and this one is pretty good too 1% better by Brian Kane. Now, as a side note, darren Hardy is also the one who helped me to understand the power of wisdom all around AM and PM bookends. That was so transformative that I wanted to share that mini quote with you, that mini nugget of wisdom. So let's grab that quote real quick. The key to becoming world-class in your endeavors is to build your performance around world-class routines. It can be difficult, even futile, to predict or control what will show up in the middle of your workday, but you can almost always control how your day starts and ends And I have routines for both. Now, that is just super cool. Am and PM bookends is where it's at. So in today's mojo minute, let's get clear, super clear, on our AM and PM routines. We want to be world-class. We want to live a flourishing life. We don't want to make the saddest mistake of the day each and every day. Oh, you don't know what that is. Check out our mojo minute from last week for that super quick nugget of wisdom. And once we are clear on our AM and PM routines and they are written down, let's double down, in fact triple down, on not going through the motions. What does Brian say about that in this quote? again, i like to call it growing through the motions versus going through the motions. That's pretty clever. I like a little wordplay there. That's excellent stuff And let's do just that. Let's grow today. Let's not let the start stop us. No way, not us, not today. The start will not stop us today. Let's go, team Mojo.
