00:00:01.522 --> 00:00:03.568
Those are the drums of liberty.
00:00:03.568 --> 00:00:06.687
America is at a crossroads.
00:00:06.687 --> 00:00:10.349
Another pivotal election is upon her.
00:00:10.349 --> 00:00:15.010
Let's talk about it on this Liberty Minute.
00:00:23.062 --> 00:00:36.284
Welcome to the Theory to Action podcast, where we examine the timeless treasures of wisdom from the great books in less time, to help you take action immediately and ultimately to create and lead a flourishing life.
00:00:36.284 --> 00:00:40.314
Now here's your host, David Kaiser.
00:00:42.240 --> 00:00:49.534
Hello, I am David and welcome back to this Liberty Minute on this election day 2024.
00:00:49.534 --> 00:01:14.370
Today, we American citizens will vote again in a presidential election, and recently these every four year presidential exercises have become more intense, especially since the election of 2008, when Barack Obama unleashed a cultural revolution upon the land.
00:01:14.370 --> 00:01:26.775
The United States hadn't seen this type of a cultural revolution since the 1960s, which ended with the 1972 election and the defeat of George McGovern.
00:01:26.775 --> 00:01:45.674
In that election, the radical left was soundly defeated, but in 2008, the radical wing of the Democratic Party won big, and the aftermath has been an escalation higher and higher with each passing presidential election.
00:01:45.674 --> 00:01:51.052
Mitt Romney didn't understand what the fight was all about in 2012.
00:01:51.052 --> 00:02:00.891
, and Donald Trump frankly understood what the fight was about in 2016, but could not slow that revolution at all.
00:02:00.891 --> 00:02:21.927
He did do two things quite well, though he got the American economy off its back and moving again, which was an important first step then and now, and he didn't stop the Cultural Revolution which began in 2008, but he did expose it.
00:02:21.927 --> 00:02:26.096
He brought it out to the open, but he did expose it.
00:02:26.096 --> 00:02:27.057
He brought it out to the open.
00:02:27.057 --> 00:02:30.042
No longer could they hide behind platitudes.
00:02:30.062 --> 00:02:40.713
So today's election is about big things and in our members section, the Mojo Academy, we have a special Liberty Minute, so be sure to check your downloads.
00:02:40.713 --> 00:02:49.343
It's all about the sleeper, special sleeper election issue of 2024.
00:02:49.343 --> 00:02:54.580
No one's talked about it but we talked about it in our members only section, so again, be sure to check that out, members.
00:02:54.580 --> 00:03:12.330
But, like I said, this election is about big things Overall the direction of the country with respect to rule by experts, which we have addressed here many times but we will also cover here shortly.
00:03:12.330 --> 00:03:15.870
That's the overall big idea of this campaign.
00:03:15.870 --> 00:03:28.747
It's progressivism on steroids for the last hundred plus years and we will see if we go a different direction as a country and hopefully we will do so in a big way.
00:03:28.747 --> 00:03:41.044
Hopefully, with a three to four percent defeat of the radical Democratic Party who is addicted to these leftist, socialist, progressive policies, we will start off in a new direction.
00:03:41.985 --> 00:03:51.907
Americans are very, very unhappy with the direction of the country splitting some 28%, 72% to 73% almost unheard of.
00:03:51.907 --> 00:03:59.104
Yet there's also specific issues, as come with every presidential election.
00:03:59.104 --> 00:04:04.454
The economy is huge and is the major issue driving this campaign.
00:04:04.454 --> 00:04:09.804
The economy is huge and is the major issue driving this campaign.
00:04:09.804 --> 00:04:24.656
The country will choose either more of the same, and the latest job numbers of only 12,000 jobs in the most recent month of October, which will likely be revised down, means we are likely in a recession.
00:04:24.656 --> 00:04:32.583
So if a country chooses more of the same, it will be very disheartening.
00:04:32.583 --> 00:04:38.653
For the last 25 years, not either party save for Trump from 2018 to 2019, got the economy humming.
00:04:38.653 --> 00:04:46.600
George W Bush didn't do it, barack Obama didn't know how to do it and Joe Biden didn't even know what was going on.
00:04:46.600 --> 00:04:49.747
He was the worst of them all, and now we know.
00:04:49.747 --> 00:04:54.521
Kamala Harris is just completely over her head Now.
00:04:54.541 --> 00:05:05.396
A second major issue in this campaign and we have devoted a whole episode to it in prior podcast is illegal immigration.
00:05:05.396 --> 00:05:18.745
You just can't let in some 20 million illegal immigrants who have broken the law the first time they stepped foot on our soil and think there's going to be no blowback in this country.
00:05:18.745 --> 00:05:20.526
That is just absurd.
00:05:20.526 --> 00:05:40.973
We've never absorbed that many illegal immigrants in such a short time, and we will have to deport these lawbreakers, and we have to do so in a big way, either beginning with the election of Donald Trump or in the near future.
00:05:40.973 --> 00:05:57.348
Now there's two other big items that we should address in this podcast from a very high level that the fundamental mores of our constitutional republic are under assault like they've never been before.
00:05:57.348 --> 00:06:00.456
Court packing is one of them.
00:06:00.456 --> 00:06:15.083
The radical democratic party wants to pack the court and has said so and repeatedly done so in the senate judiciary committee, trying to pass legislation from all different angles to pack the court.
00:06:15.083 --> 00:06:29.523
They also want to end the 150-year-old practice of the Senate filibuster, which was there instructed to help protect minority rights and allow cooperation in that bonded body.
00:06:29.523 --> 00:06:39.661
Now there's many more fundamental mores of our constitutional republic that are under assault Electoral College comes to mind but we will not talk about them here.
00:06:39.661 --> 00:06:47.482
Today is election day and the American people need to speak with one voice on the direction of the country.
00:06:47.482 --> 00:06:51.490
But there's one other big item that we should address.
00:06:51.490 --> 00:06:55.119
But there's one other big item that we should address.
00:07:02.360 --> 00:07:06.379
The relentless propaganda from the mainstream media and legacy press frankly has been unimaginable.
00:07:06.379 --> 00:07:19.608
Sure, in the past they were certainly biased, but now they just speak complete untruths with no shame.
00:07:19.608 --> 00:07:22.396
They will just lie directly to your face repeatedly, over and over and over this election cycle.
00:07:22.396 --> 00:07:26.283
The mainstream press and legacy media might have dug their own coffin.
00:07:26.283 --> 00:07:34.815
Podcast and citizen journalism is now far more trusted and far more effective at finding the truth.
00:07:34.815 --> 00:07:39.089
And we have to say just a shout out to Elon Musk.
00:07:39.089 --> 00:07:46.990
He has single-handedly restored freedom of speech to the digital world and to social media.
00:07:46.990 --> 00:07:51.735
That will have to be unpacked and studied for decades to come.
00:07:51.735 --> 00:07:55.267
So good on you, elon Musk.
00:07:56.762 --> 00:07:59.990
Now, three of these things are very big things.
00:07:59.990 --> 00:08:10.971
The role by the experts' mindset has been ingrained in America since the progressive era under Woodrow Wilson and it was accelerated by FDR with no virtual pushback.
00:08:10.971 --> 00:08:14.928
Now these views are coming to a head.
00:08:14.928 --> 00:08:20.733
Will the American people take back their government from the so-called experts, from the administrative state?
00:08:20.733 --> 00:08:24.766
After 100 years of growth of that administrative state?
00:08:24.766 --> 00:08:36.995
We have seen horrific results COVID lockdowns, vaccine mandates, drs Birx and Fauci leading a COVID pandemic effort with absolutely horrible results.
00:08:36.995 --> 00:08:41.071
That can never happen, ever, ever again.
00:08:41.071 --> 00:08:51.674
But even more than that, everywhere you look, the federal government has taken over in some niche or cranny of the American public life.
00:08:52.282 --> 00:08:53.407
How did it get this way?
00:08:53.407 --> 00:08:58.350
Well, it all started with the progressive era of government at the turn of the 20th century.
00:08:58.350 --> 00:09:06.359
America had built the transcontinental railroad, the telegraph, the telephone, and America was on its way of doing great things.
00:09:06.359 --> 00:09:20.751
It was like the science of government at the time and progressives said let the administrative experts in their fields find the best way to tackle this problem or that problem and we can all solve it together.
00:09:20.751 --> 00:09:23.114
And it was very hopeful, very, very hopeful.
00:09:23.114 --> 00:09:40.514
But 100 years later and a lot, a lot of money, we now can look back and say it did not work and it, frankly, has not worked for a long, long time.
00:09:40.514 --> 00:09:46.823
Ronald Reagan got it right in 1980 when he said big government is the problem.
00:09:46.823 --> 00:09:55.350
He wasn't able to reduce that government.
00:09:55.350 --> 00:10:02.149
We have to take back our government for the people.
00:10:02.149 --> 00:10:23.619
Now all this is lining us up to do a deep dive in another podcast, but for now, on Election Day, for today's moment, americans have a great opportunity perhaps the greatest opportunity since Ronald Reagan in 1980, to change, to fundamentally change the course of government, our government consent of the governed.
00:10:25.539 --> 00:10:42.168
Unbelievable, as I'm even saying this, that Donald Trump has built a unity ticket, a ticket with Robert F Kennedy Jr from the vaunted Kennedy family, long, long time Democrat stalwarts.
00:10:42.168 --> 00:10:51.177
Trump has built a unity ticket with Tulsi Gabbard, a Democratic congresswoman who ran for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2020.
00:10:51.177 --> 00:10:55.951
That's all hard to believe, but he got endorsed by Joe Rogan.
00:10:55.951 --> 00:10:59.359
Elon Musk has signed up.
00:10:59.359 --> 00:11:01.924
Just incredible what he's doing.
00:11:01.924 --> 00:11:05.633
He wants to reign in government efficiency Amen.
00:11:05.633 --> 00:11:10.462
Thank you, elon, for stepping up and I actually trust him to do it.
00:11:11.610 --> 00:11:15.562
Vivek Ramaswamy, a fellow Ohioan who has a bright future.
00:11:15.562 --> 00:11:30.806
He is on the ticket and I must say, my own Ohio Senator, jd Vance, as vice president, has been incredibly impressive, has been incredibly impressive, incredibly normal and my gosh, incredibly smart.
00:11:30.806 --> 00:11:40.533
He's Midwestern normal, midwestern nice, but also Midwestern strong.
00:11:40.533 --> 00:11:43.480
He has a very strong backbone and doesn't take any crap.
00:11:43.480 --> 00:11:45.364
That's American.
00:11:45.364 --> 00:11:48.639
Gotta love you some, jd Vance.
00:11:48.639 --> 00:11:50.065
That's American.
00:11:50.065 --> 00:11:51.149
Gotta love you some, jd Vance.
00:11:51.149 --> 00:11:54.259
I am so, so proud of him and how he's represented Ohio across the country.
00:11:55.432 --> 00:12:35.143
Now, frankly, if African Americans come home to their rightful place in the party of Lincoln which they started out in, and if Hispanics come home to the party of limited government and free enterprise and family values, and if strong smartics come home to the party of limited government and free enterprise and family values, and if strong, smart women come home to the political party of normalcy and not allowing men and women's sports and not allowing the government to emulate our kids, if all those things happen, which they are appearing right now on the horizon to do just that, then the most remarkable, the most incredible comeback and, frankly, the greatest political campaign will have been won.
00:12:35.143 --> 00:12:46.014
It will have surpassed Richard Nixon, it will have surpassed Bill Clinton, both as comeback kids in modern political history that all the political science majors study.
00:12:46.014 --> 00:12:49.763
I'm a poli-sci major and I studied it too.
00:12:49.763 --> 00:13:33.197
But the legacy of a man who survived two assassination attempts, a former president who had the major media against him for every day of the last nine years, at every single step, every single step, a man who withstood all the lawfare of five criminal and civil suits to bankrupt him, to dehumanize him, to prevent him from running for president again which is unheard of, which is very un-American this man, donald J Trump, will have made history, and the American people will have made history for correcting a lot of evils that had happened over the past nine years.
00:13:35.152 --> 00:13:36.076
So what will we do?
00:13:36.076 --> 00:13:41.856
What will the American people do In today's Liberty Minute?
00:13:41.856 --> 00:13:47.570
Let Americans, let all American citizens, come out and vote.
00:13:47.570 --> 00:13:53.102
Let us have a free, fair and an election with complete integrity.
00:13:53.102 --> 00:13:56.899
Let liberty rain down on this incredible country.
00:13:56.899 --> 00:14:00.679
Let those drums of liberty bang so loudly.
00:14:00.679 --> 00:14:27.317
Let American exceptionalism rise from the ashes and let this be a golden age of human flourishing, a golden age of American flourishing and, most importantly, let God shed his amazing grace on thee let's go vote Donald J Trump, the 47th president of the United States, and let's take America back and give it to the people once again.
00:14:27.317 --> 00:14:30.839
Today is a pivotal election.
00:14:30.839 --> 00:14:36.062
What we do here today will set the stage for our kids and grandkids.
00:14:36.062 --> 00:14:38.215
What will we do?
00:14:38.215 --> 00:14:49.062
Let's fight the good fight today and win this election for Donald J Trump and, most importantly, for you, the American people.
00:14:52.571 --> 00:14:53.813
Thank you for joining us.
