CC#12--Mozart of Theology

Catholic Corner #12 features Joseph Pearce's Benedict XVI:   Defender of the Faith
as we discuss this brilliant priest, theologian, philosopher and Pope as  he approaches his 96th birthday.

Key points

  • Ratzinger's writings are breathtakingly vast, deep and wide with original thoughts throughout.
  • His life of growing up in Nazi Germany, then Rome for the Second Vatican Council and then at the side of Saint John Paul II, followed by being called by Our Lord as the 265th successor to the apostle Peter, finally in retirement is beyond imaginable.
  • Perhaps his greatest gift, is his Spirit of the Liturgy  written in 2000.
